Biography

Lenka Svojanovská graduated from the Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Chemistry (2006). As a part of her following PhD studies, she worked with Dr. Martin Polovka at the Food Research Institute, Bratislava, Slovak Republic (2007–2008). She focused on using electron paramagnetic resonance to assess the antioxidant activity of grape skin extracts. During her studies, she joined the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the CAS, where she completed her PhD (2010). These days, her main research interests are the use of compressed fluids for plant material extraction and subsequent determination of biologically active compounds by HPLC and GC/MS.
